Kids in the House "Blogger of the Year" Award

0.01

Bennett Awards created a new custom sculpture award for Kids in the House, an educational website about parenting. Kids in the House is a website where parents have the opportunity to hear and share different perspectives and get solutions for parenting challenges that range from pregnancy through getting into college. Kids in the House aims to be the most comprehensive resource for parenting advice, one that respects the fact that there is no on-size-fits-all solution.

One of the key resources on Kids in the House are blogs – both text and video – that offer advice to parents. Kids in the House engaged Bennett Awards to create a custom sculpture award to recognize their top blogger – the Blogger of the Year Award. They wanted this recognition award to be based on their corporate icon, which is a giant child busting out of a small house.

Bennett Awards sculptor Marjorie Coyne worked closely with Kids in the House to sculpt a custom trophy based on this icon. The end result was a stunning sculpture that was an exact 3D sculptural representation of their icon. The sculpture was cast in pewter, and featured both brushed pewter and antique patina finishes. The award was mounted on a round black marble base with custom engraving of the award name, year of presentation, and the Kids in the House logotype.
