Susan G. Komen for the Cure Ribbon Awards

$0.01

Bennett Awards designed and produced new custom awards for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer foundation. These custom awards recognize those who are dedicated to ending breast cancer forever – individuals and groups that have gone above and beyond in supporting the foundation’s mission to save lives and end breast cancer by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures. These unique awards are given across a number of award categories, including Affiliate of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Group of the Year, Survivor of the Year, Co-Survivor of the Year, Partner of the Year, and Public Policy Campaign of the Year. These recognition awards are presented to recipients by senior leaders of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, including its founder and CEO, Nancy G. Brinker.

These custom awards are presented at the foundation’s annual Affiliate Leadership Conference, which is an annual conference where the foundation gathers representatives from across the globe to motivate and educate those interested in representing Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Bennett Awards created the design for these unique custom awards based on the Susan G. Komen for the Cure logo: an impressionistic figure in the shape of a ribbon. This figure is based on the pink ribbon that is a universal symbol for the fight against breast cancer. These unique awards were produced in pewter, and featured a brushed pewter finish. The recognition awards were mounted on black marble bases which featured custom engraving with the name of the award and recipient.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, and has invested nearly $1.5 billion since its inception in 1982. It is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, and the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
