This custom award was created to honor each year’s winner of the Hudson River Derby, a set of annual rivalry football (soccer) matches between the neighboring MSL clubs New York City Football Club and New York Red Bulls.

 The design of this unique custom award is in the shape of an iconic liberty torch, a symbol meaningful to both teams. The torch sculpture stands 15” tall. It is produced in bronze, and features two colors of patina: a gold patina on the flame and museum green patina on the torch. The sculpture award is mounted on a 3.5” circular black wood base (making the total award height 18.5” tall) with an engraved plate of the Hudson River Derby logo.
