Sony Computer and Entertainment America (SCEA), the subsidiary of Sony responsible for keeping PlayStation® growing and thriving in the United States, Canada and Latin America, commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom award design to use as employee recognition awards. These recognition awards honor outstanding achievement among SCEA employees.

For these custom awards, Bennett Awards created a hand-crafted sculpture award based on Sony Playstation's iconic mascot "Sackboy." This burlap icon is featured in Playstation games, such as LittleBigPlanet, a puzzle platform video game, and Run Sackboy! Run!, a mobile platform game The Sackboy icon has become strongly associated with the overall Playstation brand.

Bennett Awards created a custom Sackboy sculpture approximately 6" tall which featured the rich details of the Sackboy icon, including burlap stitching, in 3D form. These sculptures are cast in pewter, and then mounted on 4" x 4" x 2" black marble bases. These bases feature customized engraving with the department name, award name, recipient name, and the Playstation logo. Following this initial custom sculpture design, Bennett Awards created a second design for Sony with the Sackboy flashing a “Peace” sign.
