The Story 

When TPG sold its 25.1% minority stake in Strauss Coffee back to Strauss Group, the commemorative piece was designed to perfectly capture the essence of the company’s product: coffee itself.

The tombstone was created in the form of a coffee jar, complete with bold packaging graphics, a metallic cap, and the word INTENSE emblazoned across the front—mirroring the energy and richness of the brand. By presenting the transaction details directly on the packaging, the piece ties the financial milestone back to the everyday product that fuels Strauss Coffee’s global recognition.

This design transforms a straightforward transaction into a sensory experience: instantly recognizable, brand-forward, and deeply connected to what the company represents. More than a marker of ownership change, it’s a symbol of Strauss Coffee’s enduring strength and presence in the marketplace.
