Anheuser-Busch 'Brew Across America' People’s Choice Awards
BBennett Awards created a family of new, unique custom awards for Anheuser-Busch’s ‘Brew Across America’ brewing competition. ‘Brew Across America’ is a brewing competition involving members of Congress who have Anheuser-Busch or its Craft Beer Partner breweries in their home districts. Members of Congress participating in this competition visited the breweries in their districts to meet with employees, learn about the brewing process firsthand, and work with brewmasters to develop a unique home-state brew sourced from local ingredients.
Bennett Awards worked collaboratively with Anheuser-Busch’s marketing firm, Kivvit, to create two custom award designs for this competition. The first award is presented to the overall competition winner, as judged by a panel of media and beer experts. For this award, Bennett Awards created a perpetual sculpture called the ‘Brew Democracy Cup.’ This award design features a unique, realistic sculpture in the shape of a beer fermenter. The fermenter is cast in pewter with a satin pewter finish. The Anheuser-Busch and Brew Across America logos are sculpted into the front of the fermenter sculpture and highlighted with black antiquing. The sculpture award is then mounted on a custom black wood base with an engraved plate to hold each year’s winner’s name.
The second award design was created for the ‘People’s Choice Awards.’ For these awards, Bennett Awards crafted wood sculptures in the form of 9” x 3” x 3” pillars. The pillars feature custom engravings of the award name and competition logo on their front surface. Bennett Awards also created custom pewter medallions with an image of a fermenter, which were attached to the upper portion of each wood pillar.
