Bennett Awards created a family of new, unique custom awards for Anheuser-Busch’s ‘Brew Across America’ brewing competition. ‘Brew Across America’ is a brewing competition involving members of congress that have Anheuser-Busch or its Craft Beer Partner breweries in their home districts. Members of Congress participating in this competition visited the breweries in their districts to meet with employees, learn about the brewing process firsthand and work with brewmasters to develop a unique home state brew sourced from local ingredients.

Bennett Awards worked collaboratively with Anheuser-Busch’s marketing firm Kivvit to create two custom award designs for this competition. The first was awarded to the overall competition winner, as judged by a panel of media and beer experts. For this award, Bennett Awards created a perpetual sculpture award called the ‘Brew Democracy Cup’. This award design was a unique, realistic sculpture in the shape of a beer fermenter. The fermenter was cast in pewter, with a satin pewter finish. The Anheuser-Busch and Brew Across America logo was etch sculpted into the front of the fermenter sculpture and highlighted with black antiquing. The second award design was created for the ‘People’s Choice Awards.’ For these awards, Bennett Awards created handcrafted wood sculptures in the form of 9” x 3” x 3” pillars. The pillars had custom engravings of the award name and competition logo on their front surface. Bennett Awards also created custom pewter medallions with an image of a fermenter that were attached to the upper portion of each wood pillar.
