For the fourth consecutive year, a custom trophies design created by Bennett Awards was presented to the champion of the Principal Charity Classic Golf Tournament. This year’s Principal Charity Classic was held May 29 – June 3, 2012, at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa. This year’s champion, Jay Haas, received the unique custom recognition trophy designed by Bennett Awards following the completion of his final round on June 3, 2012. The trophy was presented to Haas by Larry Zimpleman, the president of Principal Financial Group, the title corporate sponsor of the event.
Bennett Awards created this unique custom achievement awards design specifically for this PGA Champions Event. This distinctive recognition trophy design features flowing abstract lines and planes that portray movement, flight and upward trajectory – representative of the flight of a golf ball. A large golf ball sits at the top of these dynamic forms. The base of these achievement trophies feature customized engraved plates with the tournament name and logo, and the phrase “2012 Champion”.
This custom trophies design was created via collaboration between Bennett Awards and the Principal Charity Classic event organizers. Bennett Awards worked with the event organizers to design a unique custom awards design that personified the personality and brand image of this specific tournament, and the grace and beauty of the overall game of golf.uf
