Charlie Rose Receives Bennett Recognition Award

Charlie Rose was recently presented with a unique Bennett recognition award that was selected as a Lifetime Achievement Award from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate School of Journalism (J=School). The recognition award was presented to Rose at the CUNY J-School’s Third Annual Awards for Excellence in Journalism event. This recognition awards presentation was held May 10, 2010, at The Times Center in New York City.

The recognition award was presented to Rose by Barbara Walters, the recipient of last year’s CUNY J-School Lifetime Achievement Award. A Bennett recognition award was also used for Walter’s award.

The unique awards design "Eternal Spirit" was used for this recognition awards presentation. CUNY J-School chose the pewter version of this unique award, with a gold plated finish. The unique corporate award was mounted on a black marble base with the name of the award, recipient and presenting organization.

Charlie Rose is one of America’s most renowned talk show hosts and television journalists. Since 1991, he has hosted “Charlie Rose, an interview show that is aired on PBS. He has also served as one of the main correspondents for “60 Minutes”, and an anchor for CBS News.
