Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, one of the top classic cars competitions in the United States, commissioned a set of unique Bennett custom awards for their 2016 event. This year marked the event’s 20th anniversary.
Greenwich Concours d’Elegance features two competitions. The first day of the two-day competition features classic American cars and motorcycles, while the second day showcases international cars and motorcycles. Luxury yachts are also on display at the event.
Bennett Awards worked closely with Greenwich Concours d’Elegance to create a new, unique custom award design based on a stylish, unique silhouette of a streamlined classic car. Two sizes of this sculpture award were created: a smaller 8” long sculpture recognizing winning entries across a broad variety of categories, and a larger 10” long sculpture for winners of the largest, most prestigious competitions, including Best in Show, People’s Choice, Chairman’s Choice, Chief Judge’s Award, Grand Marshal’s Award, and the Award for Timeless Elegance – all for both American and international entries. 90 custom awards were created in total for this event: 78 of the smaller awards, and 12 of the larger awards.
The car sculptures were cast in pewter, and featured a brushed pewter finish. The sculptures were mounted on black marble bases with custom engravings of the event and category names.
