Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Commissions Bennett Custom Awards
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) commissioned Bennett Awards to create new custom awards for their inaugural 2015 RWJF Sports Award. These recognition awards honor recipients for their innovative and influential approaches to using sports to build a Culture of Health in their communities. For this new award, Bennett Awards worked with RWJF to create a new, unique custom award design based on the RWJF logo – a 3D interpretation of the logo in the form of a sculpture. The sculpture awards were cast in bronze, and featured gold patina with high-polished edges.
Bennett Creates Custom Sculpture Awards for Audi of America
Audi of America commissioned Bennett Awards to design and produce custom sculpture awards that are being used as grand opening gifts at new and remodeled Audi dealerships. There are two main components of these awards. The first, upper component is a custom pewter sculpture created in the shape of a circular, spiraling racetrack with three Audi cars (representing the past, present and future) circling it. The second component is a custom-created resin base with color-sublimated plaques.
Bennett Custom Award Presented at Principal Charity Classic PGA Tournament
For the seventh straight year, the Principal Charity Classic presented by Wells Fargo, the top charitable contribution-generating golf tournament on the PGA Champions Tour, used a unique, custom recognition award from Bennett Awards to present to their tournament champion. This award was based on Bennett Award’s Envision Tower recognition award with a giant golf ball attached to the top of the sculpture. This sculpture award was mounted on a two-tier base constructed from hardwood that included engraving on the wood component.
Bennett Awards Creates Custom Recognition Awards for The Native Creatives
Bennett Awards created a new custom award design for The Native Creatives, the inaugural native advertising awards. The Native Creatives, presented by Sharethrough, honor creativity and innovation in native advertising. For these recognition awards, Bennett Awards created a new, unique custom award design bases on the event’s logo. These awards were created using a combination of wood and pewter.
Custom Bennett Awards Selected for 2015 Golden Maple Awards
Bennett Awards created custom crystal recognition awards for the inaugural Golden Maple Awards. The Golden Maple Awards, presented by the Academy of Canadians in Sports & Entertainment – Los Angeles, recognize Canadian entertainment and sports talent working in the United States. Winners included Rick Fox (former NBA player and actor), Jay McLaren (Graceland), Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley), Emily Hampshire (12 Monkeys & Schitt’s Creek), Meaghan Rath (New Girl), and Lucas Parker (Canadian CrossFit Champion).
Custom Bennett Awards Presented to Skateboarding Hall of Fame Inductees
For the 6th straight year, the Skateboarding Hall of Fame honored its annual class of inductees with custom recognition awards created by Bennett Awards. Bennett Awards created this custom trophy design in 2010. The unique design is based on a three-dimensional sculpture representation of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame logo, including a realistic skateboard atop the Skateboarding Hall of Fame logotype.
Copa America 2015 Presents Bennett Custom Awards
Unique Bennett custom awards were created for the Copa America 2015 soccer tournament, one of the most prestigious and widely viewed sporting events in the world. These awards were commissioned for the MasterCard Man of the Match awards that are given to each game’s most outstanding player. For these recognition awards, Bennett Awards created a new custom award design based on the Copa America 2015 logo. These awards are in the shape of a circular shield, and handcrafted from Brazilian Mahogany.
Ted Turner Receives Bennett Recognition Award
Prominent media mogul, entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner recently received a unique Bennett recognition award from the LBJ Foundation honoring his work and support to preserve and protect our natural world. The award, called the Lady Bird Johnson Environmental Award, honors outstanding achievements in the preservation, restoration, or improvement of the natural world. For this prestigious award, the LBJ Foundation selected the unique Bennett recognition award “In Our Hands”, designed by acclaimed Bennett Awards sculptor Terrie Bennett. The bronze sculpture award depicts two hands gently holding a globe aloft.
Michael Douglas Receives Bennett Recognition Award
Academy Award winning actor and producer Michael Douglas received a Bennett recognition award from George Eastman House in honor of his distinguished contributions to the art of film. The award – the George Eastman Award - is the museum’s highest honor in motion pictures, and was the first film award given by a U.S. cultural institution to honor artistic work of enduring value. For this award, George Eastman House selected the unique Bennett award “Elite” – a bronze sculpture award featuring natural patina and high-polished edges.
Ballet Hispanico Selects Bennett Custom Awards
Bennett Awards created new custom awards for Ballet Hispanico, recognized as the nation’s premier Latino dance organization. These recognition awards were created to honor three individuals who have given voice to their Latino culture and the importance of Ballet Hispanico’s work through the corporations they serve. The centerpiece of these custom awards was a sculpture based on an impressionistic ballet dancer. The sculpture stood approximately 16” high, and was cast in gold-plated pewter.
