For the 9th consecutive year, a group of the movie industry’s biggest stars were honored with Bennett Awards as part of the 22nd annual Elle Women in Hollywood Awards. The Women in Hollywood Awards recognize women for their outstanding achievements in film, spanning all aspects of the motion picture industry, including acting, directing, and producing. The eight recipients of these prestigious awards included actresses Kate Winslet, Amy Schumer, Dakota Johnson, Salma Hayek, Carey Mulligan, Alicia Vikander, Gena Rowlands and director Ana DuVernay. The awards are based on a custom sculpture design originally created by Bennett Awards in 2007, and Bennett Awards has produced the awards since then.
XPRIZE Commissions Bennett Custom Awards
Bennett Awards created custom recognition awards for the $2M Wendy Schmidt Ocean Health XPRIZE, a global competition that challenged teams of engineers, scientists, and innovators from all over the world to create pH sensor technology to accurately and affordably measure the acidification of our oceans. XPRIZE is the leading organization solving the world’s Grand Challenges by creating and managing large-scale, high-profile, incentivized prizes in five areas: Learning; Exploration; Energy & Environment; Global Development; and Life Sciences. For the second straight year, the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), a national organization of collegiate lacrosse programs, presented custom recognition awards created by Bennett Awards at its National Championship tournament. The design of the award is based on the MCLA logo: an impressionistic shape of the curved end of a lacrosse stick. The physical awards are created in a combination of both anodized steel and acrylic.
Twilio Presents Bennett Custom Recognition Awards
Bennett Awards recently worked with Twilio, a cloud communications company based in San Francisco, to create new, custom employee recognition awards. These awards, called the 5th Year Twilioversary Awards, recognize employees who have been with the company for 5 years. For these awards, Bennett Awards worked with Twilio to create unique, miniature sculpture awards in the shape of Chuck Taylor Sneakers. These custom sculptures featured bronze plating and the Twilio logo on the side of the shoes. This design was inspired by one of Twilio’s Leadership Principles: Wear the Customer’s Shoes.
The Canadian Independent Music Association Chooses Bennett Custom Awards
The Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom award design for their 2015 Awards Gala. This was CIMA’s inaugural awards presentation, and was created as part of CIMA’s 40th Anniversary Celebration. For these recognition awards, Bennett Awards created a new custom award design based on a 6” round medallion. The medallions were cast in pewter, and incorporated both embossed and engraved images and text – including the CIMA logo and logotype - sculpted directly in the medallions.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Commissions Bennett Custom Awards
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) commissioned Bennett Awards to create new custom awards for their inaugural 2015 RWJF Sports Award. These recognition awards honor recipients for their innovative and influential approaches to using sports to build a Culture of Health in their communities. For this new award, Bennett Awards worked with RWJF to create a new, unique custom award design based on the RWJF logo – a 3D interpretation of the logo in the form of a sculpture. The sculpture awards were cast in bronze, and featured gold patina with high-polished edges.
Bennett Creates Custom Sculpture Awards for Audi of America
Audi of America commissioned Bennett Awards to design and produce custom sculpture awards that are being used as grand opening gifts at new and remodeled Audi dealerships. There are two main components of these awards. The first, upper component is a custom pewter sculpture created in the shape of a circular, spiraling racetrack with three Audi cars (representing the past, present and future) circling it. The second component is a custom-created resin base with color-sublimated plaques.

This sculpture award was mounted on a two-tier base constructed from hardwood and marble that included engraving on both the marble and wood component.
