The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience (The MAX) honored its inaugural Hall of Fame inductees with custom awards created by Bennett Awards. Honorees included Oprah Winfrey, Elvis Presley, Morgan Freeman, John Grisham, B.B. King, and William Faulkner among others. For these awards, Bennett Awards created custom aluminum fabricated awards in the form of The MAX logo.

The Global Wellness Summit commissioned Bennett Awards to create new custom recognition awards for the Global Wellness Awards. The Global Wellness Summit is a conference where leaders from all parts of the world gather to solve shared problems. The conference is an international organization that brings together leaders and visionaries to positively impact and shape the future of the global wellness industry. 

For these custom awards, Bennett Awards create a new, unique award design with a centerpiece of a circular sculpture in the shape of the Global Wellness Summit logo. The sculpture was created out of pewter and mounted on custom black bases. Bennett Awards also created a set of custom medallions for summit attendees.

Bennett Awards created a new, unique custom recognition award for Anheuser-Busch’s ‘Brew Across America’ brewing competition. ‘Brew Across America’ is a congressional brewing competition involving members of congress that have Anheuser-Busch or its Craft Beer Partner breweries in their home districts. The award, called the ‘Brew Democracy Cup’, was a unique, realistic sculpture in the shape of a beer fermenter. The fermenter was cast in pewter, with a satin pewter finish. The Anheuser-Busch and Brew Across America logo was etch sculpted into the front of the fermenter sculpture and highlighted with black antiquing. The sculpture award was then mounted on a custom black wood base with an engraved plate to hold each year’s winner’s name.

Cinémoi commissioned custom sculpture awards from Bennett Awards for its 4th annual CineFashion Film Awards. These recognition awards honor fashion-oriented films created by innovative filmmakers, actors, musicians and designers. Cinémoi commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom sculpture award based on the Cinémoi logo, which is an impressionistic female figure in a flowing dress incorporating a film strip. These hand-sculpted awards were cast in pewter.

Former President George H.W. Bush received a custom Bennett Award as the inaugural recipient of the International Spy Museum’s William H. Webster Distinguished Service Award. This award recognized honorees who have demonstrated extraordinary contributions to the intelligence community at the national or international level. For this custom award, Bennett Awards created a clear acrylic award in the shape of a briefcase. Etched into the briefcase were the Internal Spy Museum logo, along with binary code snippets. The briefcase as mounted on a black base with a silver plate engraved with the recipient and award name.

For the last 11 years, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has selected custom awards created by Bennett Awards for its prestigious ‘Mark of Excellence Awards’. These recognition awards are presented to UL employees (individuals and teams) who exemplify UL’s three core values of Integrity, Competitiveness and Collaboration. In 2007, Bennett Awards worked with UL to create the custom award design that still used for its Mark of Excellence Awards. These custom sculpture awards are produced in pewter, and feature two interlocking curved planes in an impressionistic shape of a “U”. These clean, innovative sculpture awards are mounted on a black marble base. Customized engraved plate is affixed to the bases, and feature the name of the award, year of presentation, recipient name, and the UL logo and tagline.

Bennett Awards created a new custom award for the inaugural women’s soccer Tournament of Nations, an elite international soccer tournament hosed by U.S. Soccer. The tournament featured the women’s national teams from four countries: the U.S., Australia, Brazil and Japan. The championship trophy Bennett Awards created for this tournament featured a gold-plated pewter sculpture with 4 curving spires – each one representing one of the tournament teams – holding a globe aloft. The sculpture was mounted on a custom hardwood polygon-shaped base.

The National Arena League (NAL), a premier league in arena football, commissioned Bennett Awards to create its first championship trophy. Bennett Awards worked closely with the National Arena League to create a new, cutting edge custom award design for the new National Arena League Championship trophy. The trophy was created in pewter with a sliver-plated finish. The trophy stands 28” tall and weighs approximately 25 lbs. The trophy features a football with NAL logo elements sitting atop a sleek, modern integrated sculpture base.

Legendary actress Rita Moreno recently received a custom lifetime achievement award created by Bennett Awards. Moreno was presented with the Toda Una Vida Lifetime Achievement Award by Ballet Hispanico, America’s premier Latino dance organization. Ballet Hispanico also presented a custom Bennett Award to Ecuadorian-American Pinnacle Group Chairman and CEO Nina Vaca, who received the Nuestra Inspiración Award. For these awards, Ballet Hispanico presented custom sculpture awards based on a new custom award design it commissioned Bennett Awards to create in 2015.

For the ninth consecutive year, the Principal Charity Classic PGA Tournament presented a custom award created by Bennett Awards to its tournament champion. This PGA Tour Champions golf tournament held at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines, Iowa, raises money for Iowa children’s charities, and has contributed nearly $10 million in the last 10 years. For the 2017 tournament, Bennett Awards created a new custom award design based on a glass sculpture in the shape and color scheme of the Principal logo. Two awards were created based on this design: a perpetual award and an individual award for the tournament champion.
