WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Women with Heart Disease, presented a set of Bennett recognition awards to the 2014 recipients of their 14th annual Wenger Awards.  The Wenger Awards are presented each year in recognition of those who have set a precedent in the prevention, treatment and care of heart disease in women. For these awards, WomenHeart selected the Bennett Award design “Hearts of Fire”. These sculpture awards featured a brushed pewter finish, and were mounted on bases with personalized engraving of the WomenHeart logo, award name, award recipient, and date of presentation.

Bennett Awards created a new, unique custom award based on a sculpture of an aeolipile, which was the first working steam engine, the invention of which is generally thought to be around the 1st century AD. This custom award was commissioned by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspections for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the ASME Boiler and Vessel Pressure Code. The main sculpture component of the award was fabricated out aluminum, and then high-polished and silver-plated. 

For the 5th consecutive year, the Skateboarding Hall of Fame honored its annual class of inductees with custom trophies created by Bennett Awards. Bennett Awards created this custom award design in 2010. The unique design is based on a sculptural three-dimensional representation of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame logo.

Bennett Awards recently created a custom award for Discovery Communications, the world’s #1 pay-TV programmer, and the provider of nearly 200 worldwide TV networks, including Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, and Science. The award was created as a retirement gift for Discovery Channel’s founder and former Chairman, John Hendricks. This was one of the more unique custom awards we have created – it was centered around a 6” Megalodon (giant prehistoric shark) tooth estimated to be around 12 million years old.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Lorde, CHVRCHES, The Neighbourhood, and Lindsey Sterling were all recent recipients of custom awards designed by Bennett Awards. These recognition awards were commissioned by SoundExchange for their inaugural 2014 SoundExchange Pulse Awards. The SoundExchange PULSE Award recognizes the quick market entry and continued sustainability of artists in the digital radio streaming music space.

Bob Costas, the Emmy-winning American sportscaster, received a Bennett recognition award from the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) as the 2014 recipient of WWP’s Tony Snow Award. The Tony Snow Award is designed to recognize a citizen in corporate America, the media, and/or the public eye who by their actions has made a significant difference in the lives of injured servicemen and women – and who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Wounded Warrior Project and its mission. This is the seventh straight year the WWP has used this achievement award for their Tony Snow Awards.

Bennett Awards was commissioned to create a new custom award design for the “Iris Awards”, a new annual recognition award sponsored by the Mom 2.0 Summit, HLN, and HLNTV.com, that honors the year’s greatest achievements in parenting blogging as determined by leaders in new media, traditional media, journalism, marketing, and the creative arts.

The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), a national organization of collegiate lacrosse programs, commissioned Bennett Awards to create a set of custom trophies for their 2014 National Championship. The overall award design was based on the MCLA logo and an impressionistic lacrosse stick, and the awards were produced out of a combination of steel and acrylic.

Bennett Awards created set of custom award trophies for the 2014 Jordan Brand Classic, one of the nation’s premier prep basketball events. This was the 13th year the Jordan Brand Classic has been staged.

The organizers of the Firestone Grand Prix of St Pete commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new set of custom trophies for champions of its 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series race.
