Custom Plaques
Bennett Awards can create a variety of unique awards based on plaques. While almost every award supplier offers plaques, Bennett Awards focuses on custom, unique plaques that are differentiated from the vanilla plaques prevalent in the market. We can create distinctive custom award plaques by incorporating innovations across a number of different dimensions. Some of these customized options are described below.
Types of Custom Plaques
Custom Materials, Colors, Shapes, and Sizes
We can create plaques based on a number of different materials, including a variety of hardwoods, metals (pewter, bronze, steel), and stones (including marble, granite and Corian). All of these materials provide you with a broad spectrum of colors to choose from. We can also create these plaques in a variety of shapes and sizes – you no longer need to settle for the standard rectangle-shaped plaque. Finally, the engraving on these plaques can be customized in a nearly limitless number of ways, either via attached engraved plates (which can be feature custom colors, shapes, sizes, and engraving elements), or, in some cases, via custom engravings in the plaque material itself.
Custom Desk Plaques
Plaques don’t always need to be designed as hanging awards. We can also develop desk plaques that can be displayed on a desk or table. These award plaques sit on bases that can be created out of a variety of materials, designs, and sizes. The desk plaques can also be designed such that they can offer the recipient an option of either placing the plaque in a base, or hanging the plaque on a wall.
Custom Ancillary Elements (e.g., Medallions)
Bennett Awards can also incorporate additional 2- and 3-dimensional elements in your plaques. One of the common elements used for this are custom sculpted medallions. Plaques with medallions are a great way to develop a broader integrated awards package – the plaques can be designed so that they incorporate the medallions, and the medallions can also be provided to award recipients on a stand-alone basis. Custom Laser-Etched Hardwood Plaques
Bennett Awards can create hardwood plaques that have custom laser engravings directly in the face of the plaque. These customized laser engravings can be based on any image – a logo, a symbol, an icon, a person, etc. We can even take a photograph and use that to create your personalized engraving. This is a unique plaque treatment not often seen. These custom engraved wood plaques can feature all of the personalized information in the engraving itself, or it can be combined with engraved plaques (as shown at right) to incorporate more detailed information.
Custom Metal Plaques
While wood is most commonly associated with plaques, we can create unique and impactful plaques out of metal as well (and have a wealth of experience in doing so). Our metal plaques are most often designed as standing desk plaques, but we can create metal plaques capable of being hung as well. Just as with our metal sculptures, these plaques can either be fabricated or sculpted and cast, depending on the design objectives. A variety of design elements (embossed or engraved graphics), finishes, and materials can be incorporated into these customized plaques.
