ABSOLUT Vodka, along with Thrillist, commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom trophy design for their annual “ABSOLUT Best Bloody in America” contest. Each year, bartenders from across the country submit their Bloody Mary recipes to the contest's website. Regional competitions are held in each state, and votes are tallied on a special Facebook page created for the award competition by ABSOLUT. The top vote getters from each state then compete in a national competition, and an additional round of voting is held on Facebook to select eight finalists. The eight finalist bartenders then compete against each other in a live competition to determine the overall award winner.

A panel of judges select the winning recipe. Based on their selection, the national award winner each year receives a unique custom trophy designed specifically for this competition by Bennett Awards.

For these unique trophies, Bennett Awards created a pewter sculpture award shaped like a Bloody Mary. The main element of the trophy is a pewter glass with a raised relief of the ABSOLUT Vodka logo and tagline. Other sculptural elements are also incorporated into the trophy to create a distinctive Bloody Mary representation, including a stalk of celery, olives, and a lime wedge. The pewter trophy is mounted on a black marble base that features customized engraving of the ABSOLUT logo, the competition name, and the date of the finals.
