Bennett Awards created this unique custom award for the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies to recognize their Squadrons of the Year. The Mitchell Institute is s an independent, nonpartisan policy research institute established to provide creative, insightful policy options that better empower our nation's leaders.

The design of this custom award features a drone sitting atop (circling) a globe, with topographical detail. The globe sculpture is raised on top of its base by four lightning bolts. Each element of this sculpture is cast in bronze and then nickel-plated.

The drone/globe/lightning bolt sculpture complex is mounted on a black two-tier circular hardwood base. Nickel-plate bronze elements adorn the base, including wings on the top tier (based on the organization’s logo) and recipient plates on the bottom tier.
