5 Custom Cup Trophy Awards That Push Design Boundaries

Custom Cup Trophies

As one of the most iconic and recognizable forms of recognition awards, custom trophy cups are some of our favorite custom award projects. Cups have long symbolized victory and the height of achievement. They have been used as awards for some of the top sporting events in the world, and are also a popular award for organizations recognizing outstanding teams or individuals.

You might think that a trophy cup is a standard design, but we have the ability to make your custom award truly unique, distinctive, and memorable.

In 2021, custom cups can be as creative as our minds allow, with the technology at our fingertips to create something unimaginable. From zinc tooling to spun aluminum, each custom cup below was uniquely designed with our client’s budget and brand objectives in mind.

5 cups that have Recently pushed our designers out of their comfort zone

1. Gold Plated Zinc High Times Cannabis Cup

Gold Plated Zinc High Times Cannabis Cup

We worked closely with designers Alex Grey and Allyson Grey, along with their digital artist Taha Alkan, to create the Cannabis Cup.

  • This custom award is given to each category winner in the HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cup competition.

  • Our team determined the most effective physical sculpture for the cups would be gold-plated zinc.

  • Each cup is mounted on a circular base with engraved plates containing the HIGH TIMES logo, category name, and winner's name.

2. Bronze Blitz Twister Cup

Bronze Blitz Twister Cup

This unique custom award was created for Wargaming’s Blitz Twister Cup, a global eSports competition for Wargaming’s Work of Tanks game.

  • While the award was roughly in a shape of a cup, it was designed in an alternative form: the shape of a tornado (or “twister”), one of the key graphic icons of the event.

  • The original model was created using a 3D printer, and then the actual sculpture award was cast in bronze.

  • Different colors of patina were applied to accentuate different elements of the sculpture, including a red crackle (based on the logo color) for the main twister body, a gray crackle for the integrated base, and a natural bronze patina for the logo sculpture that was on the front of the twister (to help it pop).

  • This custom sculpture stood approximately 18” tall.

3. Golden Patina Bronze National Lacrosse League Alterna Cup

Golden Patina Bronze National Lacrosse League Alterna Cup

We created a new, unique custom award design for the National Lacrosse League’s (NLL) inaugural Alterna Cup.

  • The award design is based on a vertical geometric cup in the shape of the Canadian Maple Leaf.

  • The cup sits on an integrated hexagon-shaped base with a raised sculpted image of the Alterna Cup logo. These custom awards are cast in bronze and feature a golden patina.

  • The edge of the maple leaf and the Alterna Cup logo are high-polished to accentuate these design elements.

  • The Alterna Cup, including its integrated base, stands approximately 21.5” tall.

4. Spun Aluminum JLL Cup

  • The JLL logo is directly engraved on the top surface of the cup.

  • The custom cup sculpture stands 28” high.
