Bennett Awards had the opportunity to create a collection of premium awards for an event produced by the crowd-sourced-review website and mobile app, Yelp, this past fall.
The marketing team at the technology giant envisioned a 3-dimensional trophy with a gold finish cast in shiny metal. The trophy, aptly titled “The Servies” depicts a finger spinning plates. Initially they visualized a wood base and an 8” size.
Our creative team brainstormed collaboratively on their custom award and initially determined three options to bring the golden Yelp hand awards to life . We ensured we would hit the budget while creating a beautiful metal/metal-like award.
The three options we presented included a 3D printed-and-painted award, a bronze award with gold finish patina, and a high polish bronze award.
After reviewing renders of all three options, their marketing team selected 8" high polished cast bronze awards mounted on black marble bases. These materials gave them the premium look and hand-feel that they desired for the awards. Personalized plates were affixed to the front and back of the award base with the recipient name and award category.
