In honor of Father’s Day this past June, Bad Dad Brewing Co. in Fairmont Indiana came up with a fun way to build community and celebrate all father figures out there who are trying their best, during a particularly challenging year.
As a tribute to the dads who wear socks with their Birkenstocks and tell dad jokes so bad they’re actually hilarious, the Fairmont Indiana brewery hosted an online nomination contest for “Bad Dad of the Year”.
The grand prize winning dad will one day get to see their face on the Bad Dad of the Year beer can and received a gift card that can be used to buy Bad Dad beer and pizza for a year.
The champion also received a Bad Dad swag bag, and a winning custom trophy, which we were honored to help the Bad Dad Brewing Co. develop and create.
Notorious for cheekiness, the company has used tightie-whities a few times in their communications. They made the perfect symbol for this special sculpture award.
To set off the recognizable underwear design, we developed a pewter, antique-detail custom sculpture award mounted to round base, pictured below.
