Greenwich Concours d’Elegance Commissions Custom Bennett Awards

Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, one of the top classic cars competitions in the United States, commissioned a set of unique Bennett custom awards for their 2016 event. Bennett Awards worked closely with Greenwich Concours d’Elegance to create a new, unique custom award design based on a stylish, unique silhouette of a streamlined classic car. Two sizes of this sculpture award were created: a smaller 8” sculpture recognizing winning entries across a broad variety of categories, and a larger 10” sculpture for winners of the largest, most prestigious competitions. The car sculptures were cast in pewter, and featured a brushed pewter finish.

Michael Keaton Receives Bennett Sculpture Award

Acclaimed actor Michael Keaton received a Bennett sculpture award from George Eastman House in honor of his distinguished contributions to the art of film. The award – the George Eastman Award - is the museum’s highest honor in motion pictures, was established in 1955 as the first retrospective film award to honor artistic works of enduring value. For this award, George Eastman House selected the unique Bennett sculpture award “Elite”, originally designed by Tom Bennett.

Bennett Creates Custom Awards for Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Championship

For the third straight year, the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), the preeminent non-varsity collegiate lacrosse organization in the country, presented custom champions trophies created by Bennett Awards at its National Championship tournament. The design of the award is based on the MCLA logo: an impressionistic shape of the curved end of a lacrosse stick. The awards are produced in a combination of both anodized steel and acrylic, with the logos of the participating teams silk-screened on the acrylic surface of the award.

Bennett Creates Custom Kinetic Awards for Red Bull

Bennett Awards worked collaboratively with the design firm Smartfish Group to create custom kinetic awards for Red Bull. These sculpture awards were created for Red Bull’s Pay for Performance distributor recognition program. These unique awards featured kinetic movement as a key element of the custom award design. Each gear cog interacted with the other cogs – when one cog was spun, all of the other gear cogs spun in conjunction. Each award stood approximately 16” tall and weighed about 5 lbs.

Nokia Bell Labs, the seminal research and development company, commissioned Bennett Awards to create custom awards for new recognition awards they have established: the Bell Labs Shannon Visionary Award. These awards were created in honor of Bell Lab’s Claude Shannon, generally regarded as the father of information theory.

For the past 21 years, the annual GSA Awards have recognized semiconductor companies that have demonstrated excellence through their success, vision, strategy and future opportunities in the industry. For these awards, the GSA commissioned Bennett Awards to create an integrated set of new, unique custom art-glass awards that reflected the purpose of the awards and the theme of the event.

FACEIT, a leading platform for online game competitions, commissioned Bennett Awards to create new custom awards for an eSports competition they recently held at one of the industry’s largest video game conferences: the D.I.C.E Summit. Bennett Awards created a new custom award featuring a fabricated sculpture in the shape of a key element of the FACEIT logo. The sculpture was painted in FACEIT’s corporate colors, and then mounted on a unique handcrafted hard base custom-cut to match the design of the sculpture.

The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, recently received a unique sculpture award created by Bennett Awards in recognition of his leadership and vision in transforming Mexico’s energy industry. President Peña Nieto received the prestigious IHS CERAWeek Global Energy Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awarded to individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on the global energy future. For this award, President Peña Nieto received the bronze Bennett sculpture award “Departure,” designed by sculptor Tom Bennett.
