Garth Brooks and Pitbull Receive Bennett Custom Awards

Garth Brooks and Pitbull recently received custom Bennett Awards as recipients of the prestigious SoundExchange Digital Radio Award, which is awarded to artists amassing over one billion digital performances on the more than 2,500 digital radio services that partner with SoundExchange. For these custom awards, Bennett Awards created pewter sculpture awards in the shape of a headset. These unique sculptures featured a brushed pewter finish, and were mounted on orange anodized aluminum bases with engravings of the SoundExchange logo, award name, and recipient name.

Bennett Awards created a custom championship trophy for the POWERADE 7 on 7 Invitational, an elite high school football passing league tournament. Bennett Awards worked with event organizers to create a 26” tall trophy consisting of a life-size pewter silver-plated football mounted on a custom handcrafted black hardwood base. The base featured a sublimated metal plate with the event logo prominently featured.

Ryan Murphy, the Emmy, Peabody, Humanitas and Golden Globe-winning director/producer/writer, received a unique recognition award created by Bennett Awards as the recipient of the inaugural Golden Slate Award. Murphy was honored with this award for his commitment to filming in California and the thousands of production-related jobs he has created in the state. His California-based projects include "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson," "Nip/Tuck," "Glee," "American Horror Story" and "Scream Queens."

Bennett Creates Custom Perpetual Award for Lincoln Land Charity Classic

The Lincoln Land Charity Classic, a Web.com Tour golf tournament, commissioned Bennett Awards to create a custom perpetual championship trophy for their inaugural championship event.  The Web.com Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or those who have failed to win enough money to stay on the PGA Tour. For this event, the Lincoln Land Charity Classic commissioned Bennett Awards to create a custom perpetual trophy that consisted of a unique, custom sculpture of a top hat (like the one worn by Abraham Lincoln) mounted on top of a large black hardwood base.

Greenwich Concours d’Elegance Commissions Custom Bennett Awards

Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, one of the top classic cars competitions in the United States, commissioned a set of unique Bennett custom awards for their 2016 event. Bennett Awards worked closely with Greenwich Concours d’Elegance to create a new, unique custom award design based on a stylish, unique silhouette of a streamlined classic car. Two sizes of this sculpture award were created: a smaller 8” sculpture recognizing winning entries across a broad variety of categories, and a larger 10” sculpture for winners of the largest, most prestigious competitions. The car sculptures were cast in pewter, and featured a brushed pewter finish.

Acclaimed actor Michael Keaton received a Bennett sculpture award from George Eastman House in honor of his distinguished contributions to the art of film. The award – the George Eastman Award - is the museum’s highest honor in motion pictures, was established in 1955 as the first retrospective film award to honor artistic works of enduring value. For this award, George Eastman House selected the unique Bennett sculpture award “Elite”, originally designed by Tom Bennett.

Bennett Creates Custom Awards for Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Championship

For the third straight year, the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), the preeminent non-varsity collegiate lacrosse organization in the country, presented custom champions trophies created by Bennett Awards at its National Championship tournament. The design of the award is based on the MCLA logo: an impressionistic shape of the curved end of a lacrosse stick. The awards are produced in a combination of both anodized steel and acrylic, with the logos of the participating teams silk-screened on the acrylic surface of the award.

Bennett Creates Custom Kinetic Awards for Red Bull

Bennett Awards worked collaboratively with the design firm Smartfish Group to create custom kinetic awards for Red Bull. These sculpture awards were created for Red Bull’s Pay for Performance distributor recognition program. These unique awards featured kinetic movement as a key element of the custom award design. Each gear cog interacted with the other cogs – when one cog was spun, all of the other gear cogs spun in conjunction. Each award stood approximately 16” tall and weighed about 5 lbs.
